If you’re looking for an absolute tropical paradise with some eco-friendly flare, then Si Como No Resort Wildlife Refuge in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, is the perfect stay. The hotel is a quick walk to the main city area and Manuel Antonio National Park, which is home to some of the best ocea

n views, fun wildlife, many hiking trails, and more.

The Si Como No hotel offers a wide range of accommodation options to fit any budget and preference, whether you’re in Costa Rica for solo travel (like I was) and can do with a superior room (gotta treat yourself right?) or celebrating your love and needing a more romantic suite.

All rooms come complete with tiled floors, ceiling fans, and air conditioning to help you stay cool and comfy in those hotter months. Most of the rooms have their own balconies and some offer panoramic ocean views, which is the absolute icing on the cake.

Waking up to amazing views of the idyllic Central Pacific coastline just hits differently.

What to Love at Si Como No Hotel

Si Como No offers some truly deluxe rooms for your money. Each of the superior rooms at Si Como No is cozy and homey and comes complete with a private balcony and sea view. Most rooms here are big enough to fit four people comfortably, making the resort a great choice if you’re traveling with family or a group.

If you’re a digital nomad like myself, you’ll have no problem at this resort since the free Wi-Fi is better than at some other accommodations in the area. Room service is available for these deluxe rooms as well, which comes in handy when you’re worn after a long day of exploring (or working from your laptop).

If you’re celebrating a special occasion with that special person, then Si Como No’s Honeymoon option is probably more of your vibe. These suites are spacious and luxurious and even come with a hot tub on the balcony overlooking the hotel grounds’ beautiful gardens.

The suites are all equipped with a king-size bed, a living room, and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi, making it perfect for a romantic getaway. I personally booked a Honeymoon Suite for my solo trip and love every moment of it, especially the private balcony with the hot tub. Gotta treat yourself, right?

Resort Amenities and Activities

Let there be no mistake: when it comes to amenities, Si Como No Resort Spa Wildlife Refuge has a lot to offer. The resort grounds have two swimming pools – one for families and then another for adults only, making it a great choice whether you’re traveling with family, your significant other, or solo dolo.

The family pool is perfect for children and even has a swim-up bar, where you can order some cold ones (or something stronger when the kids are driving you wild). On the flip side, the adult pool is an absolute oasis; it’s surrounded by lush greenery and jungle views.

I, of course, spent a lot of time at the adult pool for some much-needed R&R.

The resort also has a spa, called Cala Spa, where you can book a wide range of services including aloe salt scrubs, body wraps, all sorts of massages, and everything in between.

For folks looking to stay active on the go, Si Como No has a nice fitness center with cardio machines and weights. There is also a tennis court on-site, and the resort can even arrange for guests to join in on a range of outdoorsy excursions such as hiking, horseback riding, and zip-lining.

Great Restaurants On Site

The resort has two great restaurants on-site to choose from: the Rico Tico Jungle Grill, which serves international cuisine, and Claro Que Seafood Grill, which serves seafood (hence the name). Rico Tico offers all sorts of pasta, seafood, and meat dishes to choose from, while Claro Que can whip you up some delicious ceviche, grilled shrimp, lobster, and more.

My personal favorite between the two is Claro Que Seafood Grill. The food is amazing, and you have the added plus of enjoying an amazing sea view while you swallow down a plate or two.

The resort also offers a free breakfast buffet which was very convenient to grab a quick bite before I headed out to explore each day. While not a wide selection to choose from, they do serve fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, and some hot dishes. The free breakfast is served at Rico Tico.

Wildlife Refuge Located On the Entire Property

Si Como No Resort Wildlife Refuge is a haven for nature lovers, as the entire property is, you guessed it, a wildlife refuge. The resort offers many nature-oriented excursions including guided nature walks, bird watching, and wildlife tours. You can also explore Si Como No Resort Wildlife Refuge’s beautiful gardens, where you can find some amazing exotic plants and animals.

Si Como No Resort Wildlife also provides a free shuttle service to Manuel Antonio National Park, which was very convenient and helped me save some gas money in the process. As you might have already researched, Manuel Antonio is home to some absolutely incredible ocean views and all sorts of wildlife, including sloths, monkeys, and colorful birds.

Friendly and Helpful Front Desk Staff

The front desk staff at Si Como No Resort offers the best customer service I’ve run into in a while hands down. And that’s saying a lot since I used to work in customer service myself.

They are always available to help you with anything you might need and even offered great recommendations for activities and restaurants in the local area for me to try. The staff speaks great English, which was a lifesaver for a non-Spanish speaker like myself. I know, I need to download Duolingo.

Location & Free Parking

Si Como No Resort Wildlife is located in the very Instagram-worthy town of Manuel Antonio, a small town along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The resort is conveniently close to many attractions.

You can take a quick walk to the city center, where you can check out the local shops, restaurants, bars, and everything in between. This makes the resort’s location perfect if you’re wanting to check out the local culture and nightlife scene.

Si Como No offers free parking to all guests, which is refreshing especially when most attractions in the area charge you for parking (sn: parking in Costa Rica adds up quickly).
